Vitruvius No1 moves to fit-out...

Industry News

The transfer of Perini Navi’s first Picchiotti-Vitruvius 50m (164ft) has been made from the main square of Cantieri Navali Beconcini to one of the La Spezia yard’s three sheds. The transfer was made by its new 820-tonne travel-hoist.

MAY 2009

The Picchiotti-Vitruvius 50m (164ft) is the first motoryacht to be built by the Perini Navi Group.
Delivery is scheduled for next spring.
A second Vitruvius, a 55m (180ft) Explorer is being fabricated at the group’s Yildiz facility in Turkey
Both designs come from Philippe Briand.
Picchiotti-Vitruvius is a collaboration between Vitruvius Yachts and Perini Navi, which owns the Picchiotti facility, as well as Cantieri Navali Beconcini in La Spezia and Yildiz in Turkey.
Beyond the 50m (164ft) and 55m (180ft) Picchiotti-Vitruvius projects, which have yard numbers C2134 and C2156 respectively, Perini Navi new-build work-in-progress includes two 45m (148ft) flybridge sloops (C2114 and C2146), four 56m (184ft) flybridge ketches (2086, 2023, 2132 and 2126), and a 59m (194ft) flybridge ketch (C2150).
