Diano’s 31m crowbridge...

The InRizzardi Group company is close to completing its largest-ever wooden vessel, a 31.2m (102ft) flybridge motoryacht.
She was designed by La Spezia-based Proship and built the Diano way in mahogany and plywood. Her interior is mostly cherrywood with a blue-leather trim.
Handover is scheduled for this summer.
Being a wooden motoryacht builder, Dianos tend to be custom affairs, there is one declared model, the 24m (80ft) Diano 24. Diano’s declared market interest is 20-33m (66-108ft).

InRizzardi is a relatively new identity for a burgeoning boatbuilding group.
It all started with Cantieri Navali Rizzardi composite motoryacht-building yard in Saubaudia. That operation’s first acquisition a dozen years or so ago was the similar Posillipo operation, which was based in the same town. Then around three years ago it acquired high-performance composite builder Italcraft, which is located just outside the historic port of Gaeta, and then two and a half years ago it added to that wooden motoryacht builder Diano, which is based in Riva Trigoso.
The InRizzardi branding came along around the time of the Diano acquisition.
And in autumn ’07 it expanded its interests still further with the acquisition of three more boatbuilders ‒ aluminium and steel ship/yacht builder Cantieri Santa, which has operations in La Spezia, traditional ‘gozzo’ fishing craft builder Cantieri Parisi, and RIB builder BAT.
The group’s turnover for ’07 was €98 million on the sale of 45 boats; ‘08’s should have been around €100 million on a similar unit tally.
