More big Wallys...

The Wally 130 'The Dream' and Wally 101 'Indio' were launched in Fano and Ancona, Italy, within two weeks of one another... And a third, the Wally 100.3 'Y3K' joins them in about a month.
APRIL 2009
During the past two weeks Wally has launched two major sailing yachts built by its WallyEurope facility in Fano, Italy ‒ the Javier Soto Acebal-designed Wally 130 The Dream and the German Frers-designed Wally 101 Indio.
A particularly high-performance design, The Dream features a water-ballast system with an 11-tonne capacity and lift-keel, complete with trim tab to improve lift. The combination devised by Wally’s in-house R&D significantly improves the stability of this light-displacement boat; she weighs in at just 84 tonnes (185,000lbs).
She was laminated with high and intermediate modulus carbonfibre prepregs and Nomex honeycomb cores. High Modulus provided the full composite engineering solution.
The draught is 6m (ft) 19ft 8in) with the keel down and 4m (13ft) with it up.
The deck layout is similar to the biggest Wally thus far launched (Esense) in that she has deep bulwarks that deliver a purity of line, as well as a little extra privacy and protection. She sports a ‘terrace-on-the-sea’ stern also.
Her interior was conceived by the UK firm of architects Fosters & Partners, in association with Wally's own in-house design team
This 40m (130ft) sloop will commence her sea trials mid-May. Handover is scheduled for the beginning of June and her first public appearance will be at the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup (Porto Cervo, Sardinia, Sept 6-12, 09). And later that month she will be one of the wallys on display at the Monaco Yacht Show (Sept 23-26, 09).

The 30m (98ft) Wally 101 Indio is for a repeat client, who previously owned the Wally 80 of the same name. She is said to be an evolution of Y3K, but with an aft saloon and another terrace on the sea.
The Wally 101 features all the characteristics of a round-the-world high performance cruiser that can comfortably accommodate the owner’s family with little children.
The result is a “family friendly” blue water performance yacht with on deck a social cockpit where the young kids can safely enjoy open-air, and inside the children and the nanny cabins.
The interior styling combines teak and ‘ecru’ fabrics, which creates a contemporary light, but cosy environment. Post handover, Indio will head to Porto Cervo for the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta. The owner and family then intend to spend the summer cruising the Greek islands.
The third Wally sailing superyacht to leave WallyEurope shipyard this year will be the Wally 100.3, the new Y3K. She is scheduled to be launched in the second half of May.
