Dykstra and Claydon Reeves’ ‘Exo’...

Design

She’s 46m sloop concept with hull-deck glazing that’s as striking as it would be technically difficult to engineer.

AUGUST 2012

Dutch naval architecture and yacht design studio, Dykstra & Partners operation, has got together with UK studio Claydon Reeves, to develop Exo, a 46m (151ft) composite sloop concept that incorporates, what would be if built, groundbreaking hull-deck glazing. These features are said to have been inspired by mother-nature and various creatures with 'exo-skeltons'. As drawn, she would have a displacement of around 240 tonnes.
