Canadian yacht designer and naval architect Pat Bray and his Bray Yacht Design business have revealed a new look for their 42m (138ft) motoryacht platform, which was previously proposed as an explorer/expedition concept. This more conventional trideck design joins the White Rock, British Columbia firm’s Ocean Series.
The hull form is the really clever bit. It is claimed to be ultra-efficient. Indeed Pat Bray suggests she could be as much as 30 per cent more fuel efficient at her optimum cruising speed than the usual competition. Twin 1,000hp diesels will propel this design for around 5,000nm.
