New Pershing 62...
Like the rest of the 50-115ft range, she was designed by Fulvio De Simoni in collaboration with the Ferretti Group’s in-house model-development team AYTD.
July 18 and Marina dei Cesari saw Pershing Yachts launch its first new Pershing 62. Like the rest of the 50-115ft range, she was designed by Fulvio De Simoni in collaboration with the Ferretti Group’s in-house model-development team AYTD (Advanced Yacht Technology & Design).
Evolved from the best-selling 56 and 58, the Pershing 62 will be shown first at the 2013 Festival de la Plaisance de Cannes (Sept 10-15) and then subsequently at Fort Lauderdale ’13 in October.
Two engine options are on offer with this model: twin 1,381hp 10V2000M84 MTUs or twin 1,524hp 10V2000M93s. With the bigger engines, this model provides a lightning top speed of around 46.5 knots and a maximum cruising speed of about 42 knots. The standard version is equipped with Searex surface-piercing props.
The first Pershing 62 has the standard layout - three guest cabins with the owners’ aft and three bathrooms. The alternative version provides two cabins, owners’ suite and a VIP, plus a media lounge. Both versions have a single crew cabin accessed from the aft deck.
The Pershing 62, like the rest of the range is constructed in its purpose-built facility in Mondolfo.
