Monte Carlo Yachts’ new flagship…
A launch party on the evening of July 24 in Cap d’Ail drew to a close with a late night appearance of the new MCY86, which tops off a Monte Carlo range that also now includes the six-month-old 50ft MC5, the two-year-old MCY65, year-old MCY 70 and three-year-old MCY 76.
Groupe Bénéteau’s Monte Carlo Yachts unveiled its fourth and largest model to date, the MCY86, to an invited audience that included owners and members of the international yachting press. The event was also attended by the range’s designers, Carlo Nuvolari and Dan Lenard of Nuvolari-Lenard, and the French group’s directors and senior members of the Monte Carlo Yachts team from Monfalcone in Italy, which is where the 65ft and above Monte Carlo models are built.
Monte Carlo Yachts presently employs 250 people and for ‘12/13 had a turnover of €35 million from the delivery of some 20 boats.
