Seattle-based Delta Marine has delivered MY ‘Invictus’…
She is a 66m (216ft) motoryacht with a name inspired by the 19th century poem of the same name by William Ernest Hemley – which most notably concludes with the lines ‘I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.’.
With a maximum beam of 13.1m, (43ft) Seattle, Washington-based Delta Marine’s new 66m (216ft) Invictus measures in at just over 1,900GT. The Delta Design Group was responsible for the naval architecture and exterior styling, but Diane Johnson of Diane Johnson Design had the major hand in her interior.
She is pushed along at up to 17 knots by twin Caterpillar 3516 diesels and, carrying over 50,000 US gallons of fuel, her range is an impressive 6,000nm at 12 knots.
She has Quantum Zero Speed stabilizers and a Schottel bowthruster.
Burgess is handling the operational management and limited charter of Invictus.
